What is Politics?

The activities associated with the governance of a country or other area, especially the debate or conflict among individuals or parties having or hoping to achieve power

Politics is essentially, what happens in determining who runs the government/leadership of a group of people and the decisions said people make.

Within politics there are many forms it may take, from the debate between the width of the highway, to debates about the economic state of a country, or even to the foundation of which the government is built on. Inside of each political group the people the work within politics is commonly called politicians. Within that each politician has a certain bulk of ideals and goals that they represent. It goes from the various ideologies like communism and capitalism, or the way officials are put into power from democracy to monarchism. Going down to the organizations that fight within these umbrellas fighting for the simplest of details that goes on in the day-by-day life of their citizens.

To go closer to home here in Canada we are a democratic country with primarily capitalistic and some socialistic ideals. Within Canada we have many parties that represent certain ideas, such as the liberal party and the conservative party which are the two largest with others such as the NDP, Bloc Quebecois, the green party, and the peoples party of canada.
